The Marriage of a Chandy and Swag Light Fixture, Part 2 & New Bedding too!

This is a chandy that I had hanging in my Guest Room............
I bought it on Clearance several years ago at Target.....
I decided that this is where I would put the new light fixture that I bought at an Estate Sale for $20.00!!
I loved the yellow in the stained glass pattern.....
Looks great lit too!!!
But it was missing something.....
A bit of greenery and what was left over of the rose garland that I bought for a $1.00 for a whole bag of it at a Church Flea Market.
I like this much better.....
I am not showing you much more of this room because I bought a new headboard also at that Estate Sale for the single bed in here and also I will be making some other changes in this room but that will all be for another post in the future!!

Now, what was I to do with that other chandy........
I realized something while doing this post........

In over 4 years of Blogging, I have seldom shared our Master Bedroom with you.........

In pictures that is!!

Maybe it is because someone is usually in bed most of the 24 hours in a day in that room since I work Night Shift and sleep a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the evening before going back to work......

One of us gets out of bed and the other crawls in.......

Anyway........

Here is a chandy that I ripped the electrical workings out of several years ago and hung above our bed in the Master Bedroom.....
You can see that I dabbled with it a bit!!

In a previous post, I showed you how I married the other light fixture that I bought at that same Estate Sale to another chandy that I had hanging in my Craft Room......
 So I thought .......

Why not do the same thing in the Master Bedroom!!
I , again, married a Chandy to a Swag Light fixture!!
Our Bedroom is very Victorian looking with Joe's Great Grandfather's antique metal bed....
The walls are painted gold, pulling the gold out of the floral pattern in the drapes and comforter.....
Our bed is in the corner because I use that space behind it for storage and mask it with curtains!!
Back the the Chandy and Swag Light........
I am totally loving this look!!

Joe says that as long as it does not fall down and knock him out at night, he is good with it!!

LOL!!
The above photos were taken without the flash.....

And these are in the Candlelight Mode that you all know I LOVE!!!
So there you have it!!
I also thought it was time to buy a new comforter for the bed as the matching one was pretty much shot .......
I still kept it though as a second cover to use on those cold Winter nights here in NEPA!!

I bought this Bed in a Bag in J.C.Penney's.....
It came with 1 dust ruffle, 3 pillows , 2 pillow shams and the comforter.

Original Price was $200!!

Marked down to $89.99.......

After a 15 % off sale discount and a $10.00 rewards coupon, it was just over $50.00!!

And Gold is very hard to find!!
I kept the pillows that match my drapes and they all seem to blend nicely....
That is a drapery Tie Back wrapped around the Blue Bolster Pillow....
I used one of the other pillows on the bench in front of my vanity.....

Sorry for the glare that the linens are causing.....
This antique bed is very high because they did not use mattresses and box springs back then......just feather mattresses......
So I have 3 different dust ruffles , used in layers to cover what is underneath the bed.....
I did have to hem the gold dust ruffle so you could see the others.....
You can see that the bed is about up to my waist line so I need this step to get up into bed just like they did in Victorian Times!!
I am quite thrilled with my new Chandy Swag Light and the new bedding!!
See my sleep machine on the left hand side of the bed??????

That is the only way that I can sleep during the day and now Joe is also using it at night!!

We celebrated our 36th Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday, August 12th!!

Joe cooked his famous Lobster Tails and we had a nice quite dinner...... Just the 2 of us!!

36 years....... we dated almost 4 years before that.......... 40 years.......

How do we make it work you ask??????

We work different shifts and always have!!!!

LOL!!

I hope you will join me again when I share how my front porch and yard are looking in what is quickly becoming the end of the Summer....
