Transformations!

Remember this silver tray I got at the Half Price Sale at my favorite Thrift Shop...........

Well, I painted it white and right now my Patriotic Carolers are sitting on it at the base of my patriotic tree!!

About a month ago, I bought this great Marie looking vintage fan in it's original box at half price for $2.50!!! What a steal!!

I was able to find out that the name in the box was a Jeweler's name from Phila., Pa.

I looked up and found similar silk fans on Ebay for upwards of $100!!

I did ponder how I would display this beauty without damaging it.

Well, I realized that I already had a display box that I had bought for another project.
Since the box from the fan was already damaged and the silk top cover was badly ripped, I decided to just preserve what I felt were the important parts of the box.

I cut out the name of the Jeweler and I cut off a piece of the silk fabric that was on the top of the box.
The silk piece is on the bottom right hand corner......

And here it is.......

The wood frame on the display box was almost like a barn board so I used a bit of gold leaf to glam it up a bit.......

And next I had to find a place on my already covered walls to display this pretty fan.....

I hung it on the wall in my Living Room on the stairway wall......

And there it is...
I feel it is preserved and will be safe in this case

Flea Market Finds

Here are some recent flea market finds.......

Check out this beauty of a serving piece!!!!

And this vintage vase which will find a home in my Craft Room......

Abingdon USA is written on the bottom.
I found pink and blue ones selling for $35-$45 on Ebay

And these pieces made my heart go pitter patter.....

Check out this soup tureen!!!

Be still my heart!!

And a cute collection of Cherished Teddies which will now live in my Guest Room since a Teddy Bear thing seems to be developing in there!!

And a sweet vintage Victorian Boot Vase with a Giveaway win!!

I was the very lucky winner of Connie's from Living Beautifully, Giveaway!

I know, Hubby Joe says that even though he is the mail man, I must be the one that stepped in something!!

I won 6 of her fantastic paper roses!! They are scented and have the most fantastic ROSE scent!!
I have 4 in this vase because the other two have already been added to arrangements in different rooms in my home and the entire house smells deliciously like roses!!!

THANK YOU, CONNIE!!!

More Flowers!!

I sent Hubby Joe out on Memorial Day morning before traffic started to build to take some photos of the divider of the road that encircles the local Mall right by my house.

Will you look at these flowers!!!!

I think he did a great job!! Poor guy, he is a glutton for punishment!!

LOL!

Okay, now for sure, you won't see me until June 14th........

Unless I have some other great things to show you!! HA!! LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by today and everyday that you take the time to visit me!!

Hugs,
Debbie
